Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Armand Chollet, sole proprietor based in France, who operates Smashed Cat. By using the app you accept them. They're written to be read, not to be skipped.

What Smashed Cat is

Smashed Cat is a tool for working on the mental side of competitive tennis: a pre-match routine, prompts for changeovers, a match debrief and a mental profile that evolves over time.

Your account

• You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in method secure.
• You must be at least 16 years old.
• One account per person. Don't share it.
• What you write in your journals is yours and stays yours. You keep all rights to it. It's used only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Subscription and payment

Some features require a paid subscription: the mental profile, AI match debriefs, next-match focus and full history.

Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store and may vary by country.

• Trial. The first 14 days are free. If you cancel before the end of the trial, you are charged nothing. If you buy a subscription during a trial, the remainder of the trial is forfeited.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within the 24 hours before renewal.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Cancelling in the app alone doesn't stop the renewal — it has to be done through Apple.
• Refunds. All payments go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by me. That said, if you feel wronged, write to me and I'll do what I can.

Fair use

Don't do the obvious things: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the app; no automated scraping; no using it for anything illegal; no reselling or redistributing access; no uploading content that infringes someone else's rights.

If an account is clearly abusing the service, I may suspend it. If your account is suspended for something you didn't do, write to me — I'm a person, not a support queue.

Availability

I'll do my best to keep the app running, but I can't promise it will never break or be unavailable. It's built and maintained by one person. Features may change or be removed as the app evolves. If something significant changes, you'll be told in the app.

Liability

Smashed Cat is provided as it is. The advice in the app is general guidance for a sport, not professional instruction tailored to you. You are responsible for your own body and your own decisions on court — warm up sensibly, and stop if something hurts.

To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect losses, lost matches, lost rankings, or injuries arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including, if you're a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights, which these terms don't affect.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, which deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. I can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, and I'll tell you why.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that materially affects you, you'll be told in the app before the change applies. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version. If you don't, you can cancel and delete your account.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, you're welcome to write to me — most things get sorted with an email.

EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
